dc.description.abstractHeat transfer augmentation for laminar film condensation of Freon-11 was investigated experimentally on a finned surface of horizontal tubes. The augmented film-side heat transfer coefficients for a fin tube were approximately three times higher than those for a smooth tube, being the test conditions equal. The validity of the Nusselt``s theory was verified by an experiment of a smooth horizontal tube. The acceptability of the McAdams`` correlation for turbulent heat transfer in tube was also checked.eng
