단일 포트 메모리를 이용한 고성능 저면적 HEVC Deblocking 필터 제안

Abstract

HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) is the next generation standard of video coding to improve compression performance in comparison with previous compression standards. We propose a highperformance, low-area Deblocking filter in HEVC with single-port memories. With the proposed singleport odd and even memory structure taking up low area, each pixel of block boundary can be filtered without structural hazard. As a result, the proposed Deblocking filter can reduce area for memory by 25% and support 8K resolution @60fps application with 218MHz working frequency in real time.
