Exporters and importers in international trades want to know the status of their in-transit goods to utilize that information to the next logistics activities. However, in-transit logistics information is not provided timely. This paper reviews the reasons why in-transit logistics information is inaccurate and is not shared. Different legacy systems for each party, various EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) standards, deficiency of real-time information, not equipped with centralized information system are the examples. Also this paper intends to suggest system requirements to overcome those obxtacles. Building integrated logistics information system, using mobile technologies like RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) and GPS(Global Positioning System), and adopting eAI(e-business Application Integration) tool are the examples. And we will mention some challenges with which are confronted in order to accomplish system requirements.
