Reaction of Pummerer Rearrangement Intermediate with Thiols: New Synthetic Method of S,S-Thioacetals of Formylphosphonate
Pummerer rearrangement reaction intermediate 2) of phenylsulfinyl methanephosphonate(1) has been found to react mildly with thiols(3) in the presence of stannic chloride to provide S,S-thioacetals of formylphosphonate(4).
