dc.description.abstract | An expression of gas transport through a porous medium is presented in the presence of gradients in composition, and pressure. Equations are given for the descriptions of purely diffusional mechanisms, and of combined diffusional and viscous capillary flows. The separation effect via a porous membrane is considered as a function of various physical parameters (e.g., effective pore radius, permeability and pressure gradients). | - |
