The 010 number unification and number portability is the key variance to determine the ``04 Korean mobile market stream. This paper tries to reveal how network identification number has made an influence on Korean telecommunications market. We first classified nine criteria which affect consumers`` choice for service provider and three alternatives. Then for each criterion, we evaluated the degree of importance and preference using the AHP method. Finally we compared the origin priority value with the value which was estimated without network identification number factor.
This paper found that number identification number had an effect on customer decision in considering service provider, but this factor was not a critical determinant.
In line of this result, we found that market share of each service provider would be changed by 010 number unification, but not that much if other conditions were not changed.
We also suggested several management implications for service providers.
