The present study focuses on qualitative analysis of plate post-buckling behaviour, which is performed by the asymptotic analysis on condition that the system shows small deformation and linear behaviour before the bifurcation. After the fundamental mode, eigenmode, correction mode are obtained, the relation of three modes is assessed. As a result, it is obtained that the dominant and minor behaviour are proportional to $|λ-λ_b|^\face{1/2}$ and $|λ-λ_b|$, respectively.
The proposed asymptotic scheme is applied to buckling of plate with High-Continuity finite element model which is used to satisfy the required continuity to analyze plate. Post-buckling behaviour of rectangular plate is numerically analyzed based on the proposed asymptotic scheme, the anticipated results are obtained.
