화학 기계적 연마를 이용한 미세간격 형성방법 및 측면형전계방출소자 제조방법Method of forming a small gap usingchemical-mechanical polishing and its application tothe fabrication for a lateral field emission device
CMP를 이용한 미세간격 형성방법 및 측면형 전계방출소자 제조방법에 관하여 개시한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 미세간격이 산화막의 두께에 의해 결정되기 때문에, 종래의 석판기술(lithography) 기술로는 불가능한 100Å 정도의 균일한 미세간격을 재현성 있게 형성할 수 있다. 종래의 측면형 전계방출소자는 열적 스트레스 방법이나 전기적 스트레스 방법을 이용하여 제조하였기 때문에 전계 방출을 위한 간격형성의 재현성에 문제가 있었다. 그러나, 본 발명에 따른 미세간격 형성방법을 이용하여 측면형 전계방출소자를 제조하게 되면, 저 전압 구동과 높은 전류 구동 특성 및 균일한 전계방출특성을 갖는 전계방출소자를 만들 수 있다.
