Developing a mobile RPGs success model : A multi-method approach

Abstract

Despite the speedy growth of the mobile game market, game developers are continuing to suffer losses due to severe competition. To solve this problem, the mobile game market requires study to improve user satisfaction and user loyalty rather than extreme competition. However, the existing research has limits to reflect users' actual needs because they extract the factors based on the TAM and the previous literature. In this paper, to reflect the direct requirements of users, we derived related factors affecting user satisfaction through a topic analysis using user reviews. In addition, we assessed the importance of derived factors on user satisfaction and analyzed the effects of user satisfaction on user loyalty using the Structural Equation Model.
