We present a volume exploration method enabling a tangible experience through ultrasound mid-air haptics. Our system produces a set of tactile patterns rendering the region of interest (ROI) information designated by the voxel classification. For each ROI definition, the system creates a single coarse and multiple fine patterns to maximize the coverage of each ROI field. In this demonstration, we provide a set of volume datasets such as skin and bone structures to the user. Moreover, the participant experiences how ultrasonic haptic sensations support the depth perception of mid-air interaction because the feedback creates multi-level boundary surfaces through spatiotemporal modulation.
