dc.description.abstract | Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite has emerged as a promising material for optoelectronic applications, particularly, photovoltaics and laser with low cost and high performance. [Patterning of the perovskite layer is desired to enhance absorption in PV or increase light emission from LEDs or lasers. Nano-patterning of the active layer has the potential of plasmonic and waveguide enhancement, and shortening routes for hole transport to the anode by increasing interfacial contact yielding increased optical absorption.] Recent research showed that through hot embossing, patterns can be transferred to perovskite layers. This research is an effort study the effect of the hot embossing and to establish a successful process for imprinting micro- and nanostructures on process on triple cation perovskite layers. Various variables and influential factors and their effects were investigated through optical and morphological characterization. Finally, the potential of the imprinted perovskites was examined by fabricating and testing solar cells and gratings for lasing applications. | - |
