dc.description.abstract | This thesis proposes application of vanadium oxide nanowires and nickel cobalt oxide nanowires grown on carbon fabrics (VONW/CF and NCNW/CF) for a carbon fabric-based flexible lithium ion battery. A hydrothermal method was conducted to synthesize both the VONW/CF and NCNW/CF to be used as a cathode and an anode of lithium ion batteries, respectively. Compared with other cathode active materials, the vanadium oxide does not include a lithium element at its initial state. Thereby, a pre-lithiation process was carried out to make NCNW/CF possess lithium ions at an initial step. In addition to this, solid-state polymer electrolyte (SPE) was synthesized to resolve safety problems induced by use of liquid electrolyte in lithium ion battries. The VONW/CF and the NCNW/CF are exploited with the SPE to construct a flexible lithium ion battery. | - |
