dc.description.abstract | In this study, the temperature gradient of a floating zone (FZ) apparatus, which is very difficult to directly measure, could be estimated by using the relationships between the lamellar spacing of directionally solidified TiAl alloys and the solidification rate, It was found that the calculated temperature gradient of the FZ apparatus was much higher, and almost ten times higher than that of a Bridgman type directional solidification apparatus. | - |
