dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze the main cause of paragraph reconstruction in translation writing. The constituent units of writing are 'word>sentence>paragraph>text'. A paragraph is a section of a piece of writing, it is the construction of sentences connected organically to reveal a topic(central idea) and it has a formal sign. The reason divide a writing into paragraphs is to help audiences grasp easily the contents and meaning, by putting a topic in a paragraph. Paragraphs of original texts are often reconstructed in translated texts to improve the acceptability of translated texts on audiences. I examined forty one texts of a speech and novel text to analyze paragraph reconstruction in translation. Focused on the division into paragraph, I analyzed the reconstructed paragraphs and traced the main causes of paragraph reconstruction: unity, the length of paragraph, a direct quotation of dialogue, emphasis.-
