Direct seek control scheme for high-speed rotational optical disk drives

A new seek control scheme that provides a high data transfer rate and short access time for high-speed rotational optical disk drives is proposed. Experimental results show that the access time is reduced from 43 to 15 ms for short track jump and from 104 to 76 ms for long track jump.
