Development of software for the design of a pinion cutter
Gear shaping with pinion cutters may play a very important role in the future of gear industries. In this research, the basic theory of pinion cutter shape has been analyzed according to the tooth profile and a unified process for the design of a pinion cutter has been suggested. Software for the design of a pinion cutter for use with a personal computer has been developed also. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
