dc.description.abstract | This review present the state-of-the-art concerning thje characteristics of heat transfer in three phase fluiidized beds. The gas-solid-liquid fluidization is considered here as taking place in a bed of solid particles simultaneously upward co-current fluidized by a continuos liquid phase and a dispersed gas phase(bubble). The influences of gas and liquid velocities, of particle size, oof column diameter, of the characteristic length and of the liquid properties on the heat transfer coefficient in three phase fluidized beds are presented. The different correlations available to compute the heat transfer coefficient are examined and tested on 1250 experimental data. Finally the fields in which future work need to be done to improve the actual knowledge the are defined with recommendations. | - |
