Development of rollover criterion based on simple physical model of rollover event = 자동차 전복 현상에 대한 간단한 물리적 모델에 의거한 전복 기준 개발에 대한 연구

As the danger of rollover accident is recognized, the importance of protection system becomes known. To make protection system effective, it is necessary to make a rollover criteria. Therefore, in this paper, several rollover criteria have been proposed based on simplified physical models. According to rollover situations, rollover accidents are classified into two types, untripped and tripped rollover. Applying an appropriate principle of dynamics to each simplified physical model, characteristics for each rollover situation has been identified. Three main rollover criteria RKE, RKER and IKE criteria have been introduced by investigating the characteristics. ADAMS simulations are used to verify the feasibility of the introduced rollover criteria. As the results, it is turned out that the established criteria are useful to predict rollover accidents. Then, basic rollover detection algorithm is proposed.
