A novel NRZ to duobinary carrier-suppressed RZ converter using a polarimetric filter

We propose and demonstrate a simple NRZ-to-DCS RZ converter using a polarimetric filter. The results show that the converted DCS-RZ signal is chirp-free and its duty ratio can be easily adjusted by varying the birefringence of the filter. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
