This present work is aimed at an the investigation of the effects of adhesives on the primary mirror system of a satellite camera. In order to characterize the mechanical property of adhesives, we measured the shear moduli of the adhesives based on a single lap adhesively bonded joint test within the specific temperature range. The design of the primary mirror system, which consists of the mirror and the support, was performed by using numerical experiments based on an opto-mechanical analysis for high optical performance with lightweight. The effects of the adhesives on the mirror system were studied by using an opto-mechanical analysis, which includes the adhesives in the system, and the characteristics of the adhesives axe discussed.
