dc.description.abstract | A joint power and time slot partitioning scheme based on the channel status information (CSI) is proposed for networks of multiple relays using decode and forward (DF) protocol. A set of power constraints for the famous water pouring method is presented depending on the time slot partitioning and CSI. Optimizing the timing and the power distributions enhances the network throughput in addition to the diversity advantage well known for the open loop relay protocols. Beamforming techniques for the source or destination with multiple antennas are also proposed and utilized in the partitioning process. | - |
