dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the region of interest consists of the spherical dielectric earth, coated with a dielectric layer under the air. First, we will derive the formulas for the electromagnetic field in the earth of a vertical electric dipole located in the air and those of a vertical magnetic dipole, respectively. Then, the formulas for the components of the field in the air generated by a horizontal electric dipole are obtained by using the reciprocity theorem. Finally, the computations will be carried out.-
