A simple/method for calculating the stress intensity factor of a one-sided reinforced crack

A simple method is suggested to calculate the stress intensity factor for a one-sided reinforced crack using the spring constant as a function of the through-thickness coordinate z. The present results coincide very well with three-dimensional finite element results(Wang, et al., 1998).
