dc.description.abstract | Inviscid compressible flows over wings and wing-body configurations are calculated using three-dimensional unstructured tetrahedral meshes. The equations are integrated in time with an explicit Runge-Kutta time-stepping algorithm. The inviscid flux terms are discretized based on a cell-centered finite-volume formulation with the Roe``e flux-difference splitting. The tetrahedral meshes are generated using an advancing-front technique. Good agreement is obtained between the present calculation and the experiment for both subsonic and transonic flight regimes. | - |
