dc.description.abstract | The present work concerns the surface grid and field grid generation methods for generating three dimensonal grids. To generate surface grids, spline techniques and the homogeneous coordinates system are used. The technique which can convert various geometry data generated in CAD and panel codes to surface grids for FVM is presented. The elliptic generation system with a linear uncoupled set of grid generation equation is used to generated field grids. The method is much faster and simpler to generate field grids than Thompson``s method. Three dimensional grids are demonstrated for the HL-20 spaceship and an aircraft with a main and tail wings by using the present method. The flowfields for the HL-20 and the aircraft are computed on the generated grid for verification. | - |
