dc.description.abstractAn expression plasmid carrying an alkaline lipase gene from Proteus vulgaris was constructed. The lipase content in Escherichia coli cells harboring the expression plasmid reached about 22% of total soluble protein. The purified enzyme displayed a partial interfacial activation toward p-nitrophenyl butyrate (PNPB).-
