Relative beta-elimination rates of heteroatoms from alkyl and aminyl radicals

The relative beta-elimination rates of heteroatoms from alkyl radicals are in the order of Br greater than or equal to PhSe > PhS > PhSO2 > Cl, whereas the order of PhSe > PhSO2 > PhS similar to Br is observed for beta-eliminations from aminyl radicals, indicating a dependence on the nature of radicals.
