dc.description.abstractA direct transition from two-frequency motion to chaos with a fractal dimension of d > 3 is illustrated. While frequency locking between the two frequencies is a characteristic onset feature when the chaos involved has a lower dimension of d < 3, no such feature is found in the present case.-
