dc.description.abstract | A direct time-domain method is presented for calculating voltage waves at terminals and on transmission line terminating in an arbitrary nonlinear load. By utilizing a rime stepping of the load voltage with a sufficiently small time interval one may linearize the nonlinear load in that interval and obtain the convergent voltage responses. Numerical examples show that this is efficient in the computation without the use of the inverse Fourier transform or the Newton-Raphson method for the lossy transmission line.
