We obtain the upper bound of the average bit error probability of direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) with trellis coded modulation (TCM) in Nakagami fading multipath channel. We show the effects of the length of the shortest error event path for the bit err or rate (BER) performance of TCM for different diversity orders and fading parameters. We assume all diversity branch fadings and noises are statistically independent.
