In this paper, the performance of an integrated voice/data cut-through switching network is studied. We first derive cut-through probabilities of voice and data packets at intermediate nodes. Then, the Laplace transform for the network delay is obtained. According to our numerical results, the cut-through switching method is superior in its delay characteristics to the conventional packet switching for voice and data in integrated voice/data networks.
