dc.description.abstractn-Tetrabutylammonium Peroxydisulfate has been successfully synthesized and turned out to be a sulfate radical source which can be utilized for the efficient organic syntheses: chemoselective oxidations of alcohols to ketones, 2-tetrahydrofuranylation of alcohols, beta-masked formylation of alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones, high diastereofacial formylation of alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones in five membered ring systems, and alpha-masked formylated ketones of nitroolefins.-
