We designed and fabricated the optic system using a hybrid optical system consisting of microlens array and microlens for board-to-board free space optical interconnection. Using design tool for optical systems, we confined the tolerance range had 3dB power loss and dominant factors of crosstalk in beam propagation between vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser array and photo detector array. The data transmission was successfully examined for 4-channel beams with 600Mbps and 1.2Gbps transmission rates between two boards apart from 5cm and optical component assmblies mounted on printed circuit board. We demonstrated the possibility of the interconnection between boards using simple refractive optical components which can adjust location of the lens components.
