This paper develops an intelligent dynamic savings investment system named Hyper-Savings which can construct the best savings portfolio embracing all assortments of the products from multiple banks.
Since the major model in Hyper-Savings is 0-1 integer programming (IP) model, interpretation of information about investors, products, institutions and the current financial situation to the formulation of the IP model is needed. This has become possible by adopting the knowledge-based integer programming modeling aid, UNIK-IP, which allows the formulation of IP model at a semantic level using logical operators like EITHER-OR and IF-THEN, and automatically transforms them to a so-called base level model which can be solved by the IP solver. The domain specific model formulation knowledge base is constructed in object-oriented data base scheme, UNIK-FRAME.
Hyper-Savings also provides the capability of sensitivity analysis at a semantic level to adjust to dynamic situational changes. The dynamic situation which requires model modification and investment schedule adjustment, and investment schedule reconstruction procedure are defined.
A prototype system is developed to realize the proposed framework using Borland C++ with UNIK (UNIfied Knowledge) library functions and Extended LINDO as an integer programming solver in the 586 PC environment.
Since the system is expected to collect the information from various banks through the Internet and filters out dominated products before formulation, Hyper-Savings can provide the architecture for the international meta-bank on the Internet.
