Group condensation and homogenization for neutron transport computation = 중성자 수송계산을 위한 군축약 및 균질화 방법

The object of this study is to reduce calculation burden in core analysis based on neutron transport theory. To achieve this goal, SPANDOM, one of the nodal transport methods, group condensation, and homogenization are considered. SPANDOM is improved by adopting cubic-B spline interpolation for source projection. By introducing interpolation method in SPANDOM, performance on core analysis is enhanced. In group condensation, angle dependency of total cross-section is considered. This angle dependency is normally neglected for sake of simplicity in conventional methods. The numerical results show that angle dependent total cross-section gives more accurate effective multiplication factor. During homogenization procedure, leakage correction factor T is introduced. By iterative numerical results, we can see that leakage correction is required in neutron transport method.
