Determining the priority of R\&D investment has been reported in the literature for many years. Suggested solutions have ranged from simple scoring models to complex mathematical resource allocation models, but the acceptance rate is low. In this study, an application of a model based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process to a group decistion situation is presented. Using the proposed evaluation scheme, various altermative nuclear power technology options were evaluated and eventually the priority list for R\&D investment in Korea was suggested. The result showed that the priority of technology options of evolutionary reactor and safety evaluation was higher than that of others. The sensitivity analysis using priority reachanility matrix was also carried out to examine the possibility of rank reversal among altermatives. The methodology presented is seen to be easy to use and adapt, and can be helpful to the decision maker who wants to enhance the efficiency of R\&D planning for nuclear technology.
