An improved multistage time stepping for second-order upwind TVD schemes to compute the Euler equations is suggested by splitting the residual into the first-order flux and the antidiffusive terms. The flows passing through the cascade built of two circular are blades and through the NACA0012 airfoil are selected to test this method. Present time stepping shows excellent results in view of the convergence acceleration ability for supersonic, transonic, and subsonic flows compared with the Wiedermann and Iwamoto's time stepping.
