Effective field theory

Abstract

I give the brief introduction of effective field theory. First 3 chapters are mainly for; (1) principles of EFT, (2) the way of matching and renormalization group evolution, (3) a toy model matching calculations as an example. In the last chapter, I will discuss extra dimensions and our 4d theory as an effective theory at low energy scale. In the braneworld model, the effective theory action will be given.
