dc.description.abstractA discussion on the excition mechanism of super-conductivity is presented and a model system based on this mechanism is considered in the crystalline excitonium. After a brief review on the formula for the transition temperature, a test for the occurrence of superconductivity in this model system is given through an explicit calculation of the transition temperature. The result obtained by assuming only the nearest neighbor transition of excitons and by taking into account only the "flucton" interaction, is that the transition can occur at the temperature of 106K.eng
