In this article, a covariant description for the classical spinning particle is proposed. The model is derived from the relativistic extension of the isotropic rotator model. This relativistic extension of the rotator model has the local SO(3, 1) symmetry on the general rotating frame and the covariant description is acquired by gauge fixing the symmetry through the specification of the general rotating frame. This covariant description allows one to see a close analogy of the classical model with the pseudoclassical model. The new model has $\psi^{\ast}$ analog variables and contains a peculiar symmetry similar to the supersymmetry. Further, differently from other noncovariant description, all constraints can be put into the Lagrangian in the analogous way to the pseudoclassical model. The Hamiltonian structure is analyzed to see the symmetries involved in this model and the spin momentum and its value is obtained. This model allows multiples of half integer values of the spin upon quantization. Furthermore, the spin factor is obtained through the BRST invariant path integral. It is completely the sames as the one in the usual pseudoclassical case.
