Introduction to elliptic curves

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide the basic arithmetic properties of elliptic curves. The theories of elliptic curves are vast and they have many applications. For the application, the arithmetic of the number fields may be converted to that of the funcation fields, so called the ``Drinfeld modules``. For this purpose, we will see the basic result of the elliptic curves defined over various fields.
