Simultaneous determination of optimal inspection allocation and starting batch size in a serial production system직렬 생산 공정에서의 검사 장소와 생산 로트 크기의 동시 결정에 관한 연구
For serial multi-stage production systems, allocation of inspection activities and initial batch size are important factors in terms of the system cost. The aim of this study is to simultaneously determines these two decision variables in a way that minimizes the inspection and inventory related cost. For the network model developed, a computational procedure of finding an optimal solution is proposed utilizing the shortest route algorithm. And a numerical problem is solved to show the validity of the procedure.
