dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, an interactive computer program is developed for an optimum design and the evaluation of operational characteristics of an automated warehouse system. In this regard a design model is proposed in which the warehouse dimensional constraint and the expected travel time of stacker crane for dual command mode are considered. The model is formulated as a mixed integer nonlinear program and an optimum solution is found based on search technique. The validity of this program is illustrated through an example. | eng |
