System architecture for plm using sensor devices based on web services센서장비를 이용한 PLM을 위한 웹서비스 기반의 시스템 아키텍쳐

In the product development environment, the importance of product lifecycle management is growing to get advantages of competitive time-to-market strategy, efficient manufacturing and maintenance support. Recently, with the emerging ubiquitous technologies such as RFID tags and embedded sensors, obtaining and analyzing information about products, one of the PLM main technologies was enhanced by gathering real-time data from products efficiently. The researches to propose system architecture for product lifecycle management using ubiquitous concepts and to develop appropriate technologies about product embedded information devices and tools have been studied. However, the previous researches just proposed concepts to understand the system. This study focuses on the methodology to build PLM by integrating independently developed systems which are components of PLM system. A neutral schema is needed for efficient mapping to support data and operations exchanges for interoperability. The related researches have been studied using the web service and XML technology based on the STEP, but they have difficulties in representing the product related information from ubiquitous devices attached to the delivered product. In this paper, a neutral schema including the representation of data from ubiquitous devices is proposed for efficient mapping. In this study, the system architecture for PLM using sensor devices focused on integrating systems using the proposed middleware based on Web services, extended schema of PLM Services 2.0 as a neutral schema to integrate and approaches for mapping between data and operations of components in PLM system, are presented. For application to these approaches, a prototype which is an implementation of the proposed system will be developed and used for maintenance and engineering change scenario using the PLM system using sensor devices.
