dc.description.abstract | Average channel capacity of Single Input Single Output (SISO) has limit because of using single transmitter and single receiver [1]. Recently, high quality multimedia service is required at mobile communication market, and then technology which transmits many data fast as soon as with less error is required for realizing that. However, transmit environment cause fading from multipath, shadow effect, attenuation of electric wave, interference and so on. To overcome this signal distortion, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) concept is appeared [2]. Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) communication systems have become the center of public attention as alternative idea to overcome limitation of Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) [3]. However, there are some difficulties to increase channel capacity using MIMO system. That is limited size of ground, so technology of antenna arrangement and channel analysis are needed to investigate for MIMO application. Now, many countries are processing investigate and research about MIMO antenna for mobile handset however there are no commercial product yet. To solve this problem and overcome this limitation of handset, the author research about MIMO channel and antenna array. Generally, there are critical spatial correlations among sub channels at real environment. We should decrease spatial correlation and increase SNR to increase channel capacity. However, there are adaptable antenna array and technique of channel analysis following to propagation environment. To adjust channel capacity given measurement environment, we design various antenna arrays which have less spatial correlation. In addition, we matched the received power at LOS position as same amount at NLOS position for looking into effect of received power and spatial correlation. According to orientation and type of antenna, we examine change of channel capacity when spatial correlation and received power is same at LOS/NLOS positions.
