Multihoming is one of the efficient technologies for mobile IPTV. A mobile terminal with this technology can connect to the Internet simultaneously or complementarily. Various mobile devices with multiple interfaces such as a smart phone and a laptop have recently appeared. The simultaneous connections to the multiple access networks by a single terminal satisfy ITU-T NGN requirements. The greatest advantages of multihoming are reliability and bandwidth extension. In this thesis, we focus on reducing transmission delay by bandwidth extension using two interfaces. In the point of users, they can quickly see the VoD by adapting streaming methods rather than downloading methods. In this thesis, we proposed a flexible transmission control mechanism for the multipath transport system in mobile IPTV. In traditional numerical models, queueing delay and resequencing delay are only considered. However, the proposed transmission control mechanism provides fast transmission to a user terminal, using flexible frame distribution based on two physical link rates of a sending node. Numerical results show that since transmission delay, the proposed scheme reduces transfer delay.
