Direct three-dimensional volume image reconstruction algorithm with cone beam data is investigated and results are presented with simulated images. The method suggested in this thesis is three-dimensional extension of fan beam 2-D reconstruction algorithm and is different from the direct 3-D volume image reconstruction using parallel rectangular beam projection data known as TTR (True Three-dimensional Reconstruction) algorithm proposed by Ra and Cho.
