In the most real-time distributed system, for example process-control in factory automation, each processor requires a clock that is synchronized with one another to perform certain task at the same time or sequentially. Physical clock do not keep perfect time in the causal systems, but it can drift with respect to one another so the clocks must periodically be resynchronized. The rate of drift of faulty hardware clocks can be beyond the specified bounds, and correct logical clocks can be forced to drift with them. The master-slave scheme is used to synchronize clocks and a process is generated by kernel for clock synchronization. Using election algorithm a master is elected for synchronization, and the master in the system controls other slave processors. In this thesis a clock synchronization algorithm have implemented in the real-time distributed kernel and tested its simplicity and efficiency for the real time applications.
