This thesis presents a new block-based focusing technique for all in-focus light field rendering (LFR). Image-based rendering (IBR) is an interesting branch of image processing, computer graphics and computer vision. Image-based rendering (IBR) method synthesizes free view-point images from the collection of input images. Among various image-based rendering (IBR) methods, light field rendering (LFR) is used in this thesis. In the proposed method, synthesized images for desired view point with different depths are generated by conventional light field rendering (LFR) method. Then, the proposed block-based focusing technique is applied to the synthesized images in block by block. After that, find the focused blocks among several synthesized images. Experimental results showed that the proposed method saved processing time compared to the previous works, but the rendered image had an acceptable quality.
