dc.description.abstractIn this thesis the performance of a DS/SSMA system with hard-limiting correlation receiver is analyzed over nonselective Rician fading channels with impulsive noise. More specifically, analyses of the bit-error probabilities of the DS/SSMA system using hard-limiting correlation receivers have been accomplished by computation for short spreading sequences and by approximation for long spreading sequences. It is shown that the effects of fading do not change very much as the SNR changes for single-user case, while the effects of multiuser interference and fading are quite substantial, especially at high SNR for multiuser case.eng
